The Department of Finance, Goa on August 12, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Temporary Liquor Transport and Possession Restrictions in Chinchinim Deussua, Taluka Salcete, South Goa District During Bye-Election on August 15–17, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The restriction applies to Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Chinchinim Deussua, Salcete Taluka, South Goa.
• Liquor cannot be transported from one place to another within the specified area during August 15, 16 and 17, 2026.
• The restriction is in view of the polling day and counting of votes for the bye-election to the vacant ward of the Village Panchayat.
• A person/family may possess up to 3 quart bottles of IMFL/foreign liquor + 6 × 650 ml beer bottles, or 3 quart bottles of country liquor, without a permit.
• The notification is effective only for August 15–17, 2026.
