Industry Specific ComplianceThe Department of Finance, Goa on August 12, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Temporary Liquor Transport and Possession Restrictions in Chinchinim Deussua, Taluka Salcete, South Goa District During Bye-Election on August 15–17, 2026.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The restriction applies to Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Chinchinim Deussua, Salcete Taluka, South Goa. 

• Liquor cannot be transported from one place to another within the specified area during August 15, 16 and 17, 2026. 

• The restriction is in view of the polling day and counting of votes for the bye-election to the vacant ward of the Village Panchayat. 

• A person/family may possess up to 3 quart bottles of IMFL/foreign liquor + 6 × 650 ml beer bottles, or 3 quart bottles of country liquor, without a permit. 

• The notification is effective only for August 15–17, 2026.
